Modern Slavery Statement

This modern slavery statement for the Financial Year to 31 december 2023 is made in compliance with Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, an Act to make provision about slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour and about human trafficking, including provision for the protection of victims (26th March 2015)

The Government defines Modern Slavery as the recruitment, movement, harbouring or receiving of children, women or men through the use of force, coercion, abuse of vulnerability, deception or other means for the purpose of exploitation and a crime under the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

The Cookware Company Group

The Cookware Company UK & Ireland Ltd. is part of The Cookware Company group (the “Group”), a worldwide cook- & bakeware and kitchen appliances manufacturer directly managing its global distribution through retail, ecommerce and wholesale. In 2007 the Group introduced PFAS-free ceramic non-stick cookware on the market. Today, we continue to expand our consumer offer with new ground-breaking products such as PFAS-free bakeware and the launch of the first PFAS-free small kitchen appliances.

Our commitment

The Group has a code of conduct for employees and business partners, whereby each undertakes to protect human rights. In particular, this code of conduct contains provisions for pursuing diversity, equality and inclusion, non-discrimination, prevention of forced and child labour. In addition, as a group we are strongly committed to create a physically and mentally healthy working environment, where every person should feel safe.

We expect the same high standards from all of our contractors, suppliers, and other business partners. We will therefore continue to include specific prohibitions against the use of forced, compulsory, or trafficked labour, as well as anyone held in slavery or servitude, whether adults or children, in our contracting processes. Also we expect our suppliers to hold their own suppliers to the same high standards.

We are also committed to ensuring transparency in our own operations and in our approach to combating modern slavery throughout our supply chain, in accordance with our obligations under the Modern Slavery Act.

The Group is in charge of implementing its policies on a daily basis, monitoring its usage and effectiveness, dealing with any questions about it, and reviewing internal control systems and processes to ensure they are successful in combating modern slavery.

The Group will never knowingly enter into a business relationship with any organisation involved with modern slavery. The management of the Group accepts responsibility for the implementation of any measure in relation to ensure that modern slavery is not taking place in the Group or its supply chain.
